Sweet Sixteen Party Photography is so much fun. Everyone is there to have a good time and it is a great experience to photograph young and old having so much fun together. I was a photographer at a Sweet Sixteen party recently and I loved to capture the fun photos of a special day of a young woman’s life. The party was at a banquet place called Aashirwad Palace at Randolph, New Jersey. We had a photo session of the birthday girl and her friends and parents out in the garden. Back inside, the party started with candle lighting and speeches. The speeches were nicely written and I got some nice shots. I wish the DJ station was not directly behind the candle lighting table. It made my job harder trying to keep the DJs out of the frame, and sometimes it was just not possible. A backdrop of drapes instead of the black DJ station with shiny metallic trims would be a lot better. The reality is photographers are not really consulted for such details, at least not for events like these. The cake cutting followed and then it was time for party. After the father-daughter dance, the dance floor was open to all and the guests especially the young folks had a blast dancing their hearts out. We had a break for a sumptuous feast, after which again it was time for more dancing.

The dances are important to capture for Sweet Sixteen Party Photography. Rear curtain flash mixed with dance floor lighting turned out great. You can tell from the photos that everyone was having a great time.
