Swap the Biz Networking Fashion Show was at WeWork Financial District. WeWork is really growing fast in an economy where self employed people are flourishing at or around metro ares like New York City. The city has a number of WeWork centers which provide members with great office work spaces at a very reasonable rate. Facilities include wine, beer and coffee bar.
Swap the Biz is a high-end networking group that is growing fast in New Jersey and metro New York area. Scott and Debbie Eisenberg takes good care of the members and other attendees. This time there was a fashion show by Cinda Yordan, owner and designer at Le Yordan Company, which is one of the sponsors of Swap the Biz. There was a lot of interest in the fashion show. This space was not meant to have a ramp, which is typical of fashion. But that did not take anything away from the show. The models walked the red carpet in front of the step and repeat.
I felt good to meet so many entrepreneurial people during the evening. There was a real positive vibe going on. It is true that people like to do business with people they like. To that end, Swap the Biz tries to create an environment that helps that friendship to develop. It was great to reconnect with those I have met before and to meet a few other new professionals as well. At a setting like this, there is a lot of opportunities for candid shots, and I really like doing that, more than any posed shot.
