Stonehouse at Stirling Ridge Wedding
Stonehouse at Stirling Ridge Wedding on a glorious Memorial Day Weekend day was a celebration of love at the beautiful venue.
The bridal party got ready at the Marriott Courtyard in nearby Wayne. That gave me an opportunity of getting ready and ring shots. I took the ring shots with Hershey kisses and bride loved that idea. Purple is her favorite color and the dark Hershey kisses come with purple foil covers. The getting ready time is a great opportunity to get some cool candid shots. The bride was going to put on her wedding dress at the venue but while I was busy with the ring and her and her bridesmaids, the groomsmen were getting ready. This is a very good reason to have a second photographer so there is enough coverage of the groomsmen getting ready. I shot the first look after the bride was ready. Then a photo session with family members followed – the so called formals. There was some time for the bridal party to relax and chill out before the guests started appearing – a good time for some casual candid shots. During the ceremony I had to manage working with the very strong afternoon light – but it worked out fine. The cocktail session was followed by the first dance. The groom did not seem like a very enthusiastic dancer and his feet were barely moving – so I concentrated on close up of the dancing couple. The speeches during the toasts were very nicely said and then it was time for dancing till mid-night. I particularly enjoy taking shots at the dance floor, more so when we get an enthusiastic dancing couple with a lot of energy. It was a good to have a few such couples and I got some great dance shots.
