New Jersey Fashion Show-Nisha Kalamdani
New Jersey Fashion Show by designers Arti Pednekar and Smita Shah was held at the Edison Hotel in Edison, NJ. This was showcasing their Impression Collection. I was asked to photograph the event. There was a stage with a backdrop and steps leading down to the red carpet. It was something different than the usual ramp seen at fashion shows, but it worked out just fine.
I was also asked to create a makeshift studio in the green room, which was a partitioned space in the event hall. The space was limited in that area and it was busy with models and other people coming in and out. There was room for only one strobe with beauty dish. I add a second one to blow out any shadows from the white background and a reflector to the other side of the key light. These shots were going to be used in their online catalog. The showstopper model was Nisha Kalamdani – well known actress and there were several others models as well.
