International Live Events Vibe NJ Meeting
ILEA (International Live Events Association) North New Jersey Chapter organized its May education program about tented events at the event space called Vibe, in Riverdale, NJ. Matthew Holt of NY Tent and Scott Weisberg of Everything Entertainment shared their tenting expertise during a candid conversation presented in a talk show format with Donna DeFrancesco (Majestic Moments Events) asking all the right questions with no-holds-barred answers to enlighten the guests about all the ins and outs of tenting!

Earlier, the guests had the opportunity to mingle at the cocktail lounge over food catered by David Alan Catering and Cupa Cabana espresso bar. The guests settled down in the larger meeting space (also used as dance floor) for the introduction of the event by Marni Gold, outgoing President of the chapter. Mike Szorentini talked about Vibe and the associated DJ service The Entertainment Company and the type of events that are the best fit and why it stands out as a premier event space. The new board, the sponsors of the evening and new members of the chapter introduced themselves and then it was time for the main event – the discussion on tenting.
Scott and Matt dove deep down into the business of tenting and what it takes for the client and other vendors particularly the event planner to have a safe and enjoyable tented event. They discussed the types of tents, layout inside the tent, engineering aspects, safety and legal / permit related issues. I felt everyone left with a great deal of details that no one would have known unless they attended a program like this.
Mike Szorentini fired up the space as the evening wrapped up and the guests had a glimpse of what an actual event might look like.
