Photography Lessons for Livingston NJ Kids
It’s all about learning to see – photographically. It’s not about the camera; it’s about the person behind it. Period.
Who is this for?
- Kids G4 – G8
Why Should You Care?
I was inspired by 100Cameras.org for the FOTOFANATICS program. Photography is a great tool to sharpen one’s perception about one’s environment – be it Nature or the people that cross our paths in daily life, apart from being a channel for tremendous creative expression.
Let you child discover photography…let it be a lifelong passion.
What will they learn?
- Photographic Composition
- Working with natural light
- Basic Photo Editing
How will they do it?
- Interactive presentations.
- Interesting photo projects from everyday life.
- Dedicated forum for asking questions online, just in case they need any help with the projects.
- Reviews of their project work.
What would they need to get the most out of this?
- Interest in learning about photography.
- Access to an iPad or Android tablet, which will be the camera and editing tool! Any other camera is fine too.
- Subscription to Adobe Photoshop CC for photographers ($10/month) and Lightroom mobile app. (free)
What is this not about?
This is not about how to use a camera as everyone prefers to use a different make or model. Owning a camera like a DSLR is not a pre-requisite. Concepts of focus, exposure, shutter speed, depth of field etc., will be discussed but not in a way that leads to detailed discussions about a camera’s controls. However, someone with a DSLR and the ability to use it will find this program perhaps even more exciting.
When and Where?
