Congregation Agudath Israel Bar-Mitzvah (Andrew)
I was hired to photograph a family on the occasion of their eldest son’s Congregation Agudath Israel Bar-Mitzvah couple of days before the actual ceremony . This was because photography was not allowed during the ceremony. So the photo session was on Thursday afternoon.
We took some shots in the mail worship hall with its magnificent stained glass windows that went all the way up to the high ceiling. It was not too bright outside but the large windows let in enough light to supplement the indoor lights. Then we moved to an adjacent smaller hall where the reading of the Torah would be done on Saturday. In both the places I used subdued flash lighting as fill in.
With that we were done with the photo session at the temple. Then we went to the nearby Grover Cleveland Park for an outdoor family photo session.
