Brooklyn Family Photo Session
The Brooklyn family photos session was planned by Hudson’s parents leading up to his baptism. The photo session was split into 2 parts. In the first part, we had a mini session at the apartment, with a view to Manhattan from his balcony at the back. It was an overcast day, but we got some good shots using the fill in flash to brighten up the balcony.
The second part of the Brooklyn family photo session was at the waterfront. I met them at Brooklyn heights on the sunny afternoon. We got some street shots going down to the Promenade. The sun was very bright there, but provided opportunity for some nice against the light shots, using the trees as frame. By the time we strolled down to the Brooklyn Bridge Park, the sun was going down and the light was ideal. Brooklyn Bridge Park has an area of water spouts which are quite cool, so we stopped there for a while.
We continued to stroll down the waterfront. I was lucky that Hudson’s uncle was there to keep him amused. The light was nice but it was going to last only a little while . Little Hudson was feeling hungry. It does take a long time when you have a baby. It was warm but breezy at the same time, so it seemed like sometimes he was either feeling too hot or too cold. But the bottle break was an opportunity to get good shots.
I wanted to take a picture of the setting sun, so I hurried them along so would be looking beyond the tip of the Financial District. As the sun was going down the horizon, I asked Jay to hold Hudson up so baby and dad was silhouetted against the setting sun and thus ended the Brooklyn family photo session for Hudson and his family.
